Our Facility

school

On September 2, 2015 we opened the doors to our new and permanent facility on Cumberland Ave. in Wethersfield, Connecticut. The School’s magnet theme focuses on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) subjects, and the exterior design provides interactive means for students to explore nature. The site’s natural rolling topography and extensive vegetation includes nature trails, Bioswale, discovery areas, planting beds, a full-size soccer field, two playscapes and play yards, along with dedicated automobile and bus drop offs.

The theme of interactive exploration carries into the building, with dramatic features and exhibits in the main lobby. At full capacity, the school will accommodate 435 PK to 5th Grade students, in 24 core classrooms. Additional classrooms include a science labs, a design lab, a literacy room, art and music, a robotics room, a new Library/Media Center and a rooftop garden. The school also has a state of the art multipurpose room with a gymnasium and cafeteria.
